My husband is a youth minister and as yet we have no children. But, I like to read parenting books to pass along to the parents of our youth group. The one that I’m sharing right now with everyone is Teaching True Love to a Sex at 13 Generation by Eric & Leslie Ludy. I think it is so important to look at some of these major issues while your kids are still small to head off problems before they become too big.

A book that may be among my favorites is “a woman after God’s own heart” by Elizabeth George. So much to work through on it!

I’m a newlywed and am learning A LOT about being flexible now that I’m living with a boy. The hardest thing is learning to be FLEXIBLE for my husband as I adjust my routines to include him in my life. It’d be great to see something that addresses this stage.

I too enjoy reading but until recently have not had the time or energy to put into my “hobby”. I have just today came across this web journal and have done nothing but explore it and read! Thank you for putting this together and the service it provides. I have sent the link to each teen girl and college student in our congregation.

I plan on visiting our college bookstore tomorrow and look for some of the books suggested!

One of my favorite Christian books is an old one–The Will of God, by Leslie D. Weatherhead. My grandma had a copy which she passed on to my mom, and after my mom lent me hers, I bought one of my own. It’s really short, but it’s a series of three sermons given during WWII on how to reconcile God’s love for us with the bad things that happen in the world. A really thought-provoking read that I’ve shared with many others.
